I've been looking at the possible causes of discrepancy between CitEc and RAS. May be a reason is how RAS deals with deleted handles. In today's log of data interchange RAS -> CitEc, we have this citation added by an author:
citing paper: repec:bis:bisbpc:22-15 citing reference: hsHKhhcrKCx1Wmzw5GLqng cited paper: repec:jae:japmet:v:16:y:2001:i:4:p:487-520
Such citation seems to be correct in RAS but hasn't been added to CitEc because the citing reference doesn't exist there. In fact the citing paper doesn't exist too (neither in IDEAS), it was deleted time ago.
The question is, how deals RAS with deleted items (references, papers, citations.)?
I don't know. I have not worked with the citation stuff. I am at the moment working with another troublesome issue in ACIS. Cheers, Thomas Krichel http://openlib.org/home/krichel RePEc:per:1965-06-05:thomas_krichel skype: thomaskrichel
