I want to look for funding for ArchEc. The Sloan Foundation encourage letters of inquiry. Instructions are here http://www.sloan.org/apply-for-grants/letters-of-inquiry/ Here is my draft http://openlib.org/home/krichel/tmp/archec.txt There are two main points that I think I want to discuss. 1 - I am not sure the OLS should be the grantee. 2 - I am not sure we should / need to go through the board. The board has never been used and getting it to work will take a bit of time and effort. -- Cheers, Thomas Krichel http://openlib.org/home/krichel skype:thomaskrichel

I called Kit to discuss this. We talked at about 45 minutes and I have the impression we are on the some page, so I would be comfortable with him being the grant holder. He'll have a look a around what BC can offer.

I now think we really should do this. I have sent a mail regarding this to the board. -- Cheers, Thomas Krichel http://openlib.org/home/krichel skype:thomaskrichel
As Thomas said is not the PDFs that are in the archive but the PDFs that we have on local storage. For pra we don't have PDFs at the moment because CitEc doesn't download PDFs, it uses x-file-ref fields instead. red, my data says that the storage has 917 PDFs. Note that we are only storing papers, not articles. Of 917 PDFs, 603 have been distributed in NEP
I still do not believe those numbers. Only 7% of MPRA? Only 603 at RePEc:red?
These numbers should taken as representing where we are. The prbolem may be on my side. It may be that there are more files, by don'ts sees them when a handle is give. --- José Manuel Barrueco @JMBarrueco Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació Universitat de València Tlf: +34963983359 http://www.uv.es/=barrueco

There are 4991 papers in red, most with pdf. 1840 have been announced in NEP (we had a problem where Laura deleted wholesale several hundred of them, those are not counted).
