in the update daemon log -- it is a part of the handle conflict checking. The record in question is in a conflict. Re-read my last explanatory message on the topic and use the adm/ tools mentioned there to check it yourself. Use updareq with a little number to force processing the file again (once you correct the conflict).

Another update issue. This fellow complains his affiliation does not work (anymore). And indeed it does not, as it is not found despite a template being present and valid. So I updareq on this template alone. Then, in the logs I find:

Waht the heck is that? I ask for inceimy and it processes spiesin!

1.INCEIF 2. International Centre for Education in Islamic Economics (INCEIF) 3. INCEIF The global University in Islamic Finance (This is the now the name of the institution as you may check from their web site)
None appears in the ADD List on my computer though the the two othe colleagues of mine are registered at the second name

From the logs, I see that you removed the link, then added a new institution suggestion. You received a message telling you that the suggested institution is already in the database and that you should remove your suggestion and link to the one in the database.

Dear Sir, This is to bring to your kind notice that I have been de-linked from the institution I am affiliated with i.e.I am registered with RePEc and have claimed to be affiliated with the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). The same institution is now operating under the nomenclature 'INCEIF The Global university in Islamic Finance, Kuala Lumpur. In my registration with the RePEc I have inserted the current name of the institution. May be because of that the link is snapped. I request you to kindly restore the same at your earliest convenience. With regards, Zubair Hasan
