It has been suggested to me in a presentation about RePEc that the RAS citations form could be improved on. Namely, the "not my work" button should be moved up between the "as" cite and the "in" cite. Currently it is below the "in" cite, and it tempts people to click on it to claim they have not authored the "in" paper, which is true but not the intended action.
Example for Bruce Gardner:
The transmission of world commodity prices to domestic markets under policy reforms in developing countries (article, details) by John Baffes & Bruce Gardner
Which of these point to the above document? . Make sure the right ones have their checkboxes checked.
new citation
as: [1] Baffes, John and Bruce Gardner, 2003. The transmission of world com- modity prices to domestic markets under policy reforms in developing countries. Policy Reform 6(3), 159-180. 27
in: Sugar Prices, Labour Income and Poverty in Brazil by Krivonos, Ekaterina & Olarreaga, Marcelo
[not my work] press this if it is not your work that is cited, and this citation will not be offered again.
I have looked into this. It looks like this will involve some restructuring within the templates. The as/in is defined in citation/general.xsl and the [not my work] bit is defined in potential.xsl. So it's not trivial to do. Cheers, Thomas Krichel http://openlib.org/home/krichel RePEc:per:1965-06-05:thomas_krichel skype: thomaskrichel
