I just checked my list of claimed items in the author service. There it says "Here are the 42 items that you have accepted so far. You can tell us what role you had in that item." In the table there is also a heading "your role" but the corresponding table cell is empty for all items. What is the purpose of this? I find it a bit confusing.

Citations numbers between CitEc and RAS are very different. I have never
understood why and never got a convincing answer. What should I say?

For the last few months when I log in I get "We don't have any new citations for you"
And I have not had to confirm any potential citations in a long while . As my ranking continues to slip by the month from 43 and now to 50, I am wondering when I am due for a citation update. The gap between the citations I see and the ones used in the rankings is about 1400 or so.

>From what I can see, CitEc updates happen on Sundays. This means that a
major job starts on RAS during the night of Sunday to Monday, often
chocking the machine to the point that we get many disk waits, and lasts
for most on Monday. This comes at the worst possible time, as Monday is
the time where RAS gets the most traffic, because of all the reminder
emails that were sent over the week-end.
Would it be possible to move CitEc updates to Friday or Saturday?

there also was an issue of being unable to change a login (email address)
in RAS in some cases. I've fixed this today.
Also, I've improved some error logging, for the future. I want to fix all
major issues in current RAS before starting active OpenID dev work.

Jose,
Christian says there's a good place in CitEc to use OpenID integration with
RAS. I understand it that some script (or a bunch of them) could benefit
from RAS-mediated authenticated. I'm approaching this part of my work on
ACIS now. I'd be happy to work with you on building this integration from
both sides: me from the RAS side, you from the CitEc side. What do you
think?

Hi,
A couple of days ago I've started examining the recent error logs from RAS,
and I've noticed an issue. Some users loggin in to a direct screen in RAS,
like /research/autosuggest (via
https://authors.repec.org/research/autosuggest) were getting an
"Application error". I've spent some time debugging and found this to be
very serious: this error happend to many users.
If I understand it right, it primarily happened to those who clicked on the
links like the mentioned above in the automatic mails. I still do not know
if it happened to all of them or to some.
Now I've made a fix and have installed it today. I hope this error does not
happen again. I'll keep monitoring and fixing issues.
